Mak Mak is an edgy, retro-inspired restaurant dishing up punchy, aromatic Thai Cuisine at The Landmark. Mak Mak's culinary team brings the punchy, aromatic flavours of central Thailand to Mak Mak with classic dishes that deliver intense spice and touch of sweetness to the palate. With a menu of traditional curries, soups and noodle dishes, Mak Mak is the Thai that everyone knows and loves.
A creation of award-winning hospitality entrepreneur Yenn Wong, Mak Mak serves the classic flavours that fans of Thai cuisine know and love.
The design, reminiscent of 1960’s Bangkok, was created by NC Design & Architecture. A retro replica of a Thai shophouse, Mak Mak is comprised of two spaces with distinctly different purposes. While a traditional venue found on the back streets of Bangkok would encompass a shop with the owner’s home attached, The Landmark destination features a storefront that bears resemblance to a traditional Thai grocery store with a 60-seat airy 'Thai residence-style' dining area hidden away behind it. With its notably convenient location, Mak Mak’s storefront offers seamless takeaway orders for those working nearby, while the restaurant welcomes guests to enjoy the cosy, homey environment and delicious Central Thai cuisine.
Mak Mak is a concept of Yenn Wong’s JIA Group which also includes Chachawan, Duddell's, Aberdeen Street Social, 22 Ships, Ham & Sherry, 208 Duecento Otto, Meen & Rice, Fish School and Rhoda.
