Chef Matthew Thaeron is the chef de cuisine of Fishsteria. Born in Concarneau, a fisherman town in Brittany, France, Matthew knew he wanted to become a chef since he was 10 years old and inevitably, seafood is his absolute favorite ingredients to work with. After working in Michelin starred restaurants in France, Australia and Hong Kong, he joined Fishsteria to continue to share his passion and expertise in seafood.

Fishsteria is the equation of Fish + Hysteria, a stylish seafood concept experience, from Chef Owner Gianni - behind the city’s popular restaurants Giando and EAT. It, aiming to bring one of the finest and widest selection of fresh seafood straight from the ocean to your table.

Beating in the heart of Wan Chai, Fishsteria is an exciting addition to Hong Kong’s culinary landscape and seafood lovers’ directory, serving only the freshest clams, oysters, lobster or blue fin tuna, as well as exceptional catches such as sustainable Italian sea bass, Alaskan king crab or Dover sole from southern France. A remarkable cocktail and wine program completes the bill of fare, with memorable libations and caringly curated European labels.
