Located at the southern end of Chambolle-Musigny adjacent to Clos Vougeot, Le Musigny is one of the greatest terroirs in the Cote de Nuits. It covers only about 10 hectares, with a mere production of 3,000 cases per year. It is as rare as it gets.
A fine red Musigny is a magical wine, combining seductive power and finesse with an incredible spectrum of aromas. It is commonly described as "An iron fist in a velvet glove." There are crushed strawberries and liquorice when young. Give it 15-25 years to mature, the result is the quintessence of finesse and elegance.
