Chef Benito has created a menu that uses flavours from his region - Catalonia, namely, those that are popular along the Mediterranean Coast including Peppers, Nuts and Fish. These dishes all portray traditional Catalan flavors with a contemporary twist. For a true taste of traditional Catalan culture, the menu will start off with a healthy, well balanced and refreshing dish - Roasted Bell Pepper, Tomato and Anchovies served with Goat Cheese which utilizes seasonal vegetables from Spain. As it is common for Catalans to finish their meal with nuts and sweet wine, Chef Benito has created a dessert that consists of Hazelnut Ice Cream served with Almond, Chocolate and Hazelnut Ganache and Sponge Cake with a dash of Pedro Ximenez. In line with Cassio's philosophy, this menu is distinguished by simplicity and authenticity that plays with fresh seasonal produce from Spain, always in search of original flavour combination.
Cassio is an all new concepts that is centrally located in LKF Tower, and evokes vintage European chic with a touch of Asia, forming a sophisticated and intimate environment. Guests will be able to experience multiple music genres across the restaurant, lounge and terrace, from old school hip-hop to Latin jazz and disco to salsa. With food by London based restaurant Barrafina, Cassio serves sophisticated contemporary Spanish tapas.
Cassio is the latest in the stable of Gilbert Yeung, he of Dragon-i and Tazmania Ballroom fame. And no expense seems to have been spared with the plush and dramatic 60s-inspired room that opens out to one of the more impressive terrace spaces that we’ve seen in Hong Kong, laden with live greenery. Yet the money seems to have unfortunately stopped when it comes to stocking the bar, which is home only to the usual suspects, bottom-heavy as far as top shelf goes.
