Enjoy 10% off with Greyhound Cafe || A Gourmet Celebration

Gaia Group opened the ninth branch of Bangkok-based Greyhound Café at Popcorn.

Described by the Fortune Magazine as “the Hottest Seats in Bangkok”, Greyhound Café is the first fashion café in Bangkok that offers a wide range of Thai cuisine in a relaxing yet trendy atmosphere. Gaia Group brought over this hottest restaurant of Bangkok to Hong Kong during 2011 and has been promoting the concept of modern Thai dining experience in Hong Kong and China.

The new branch, Greyhound Café Popcorn, will definitely be a new must-go on Kowloon side for food lovers who wish to satisfy their taste buds with scrumptious Thai dishes.

The Restaurant Concept

The concept of Greyhound came solely from the characteristics of Bangkok – one of the most dynamic and exciting cities in Asia. The city is known for its mix of cultures, from traditional to modern; high street to haute couture; local to international, which all blended together in a beautifully chaotic way. The new branch at Popcorn will continue the brand’s mission to create a trendy and creative mix of menus, services and ambience that appeal to our customers at right prices.

Food with a Twist

Greyhound Café is famous for serving simple yet heavenly delicious Thai food with a creative and modern twist. We use fresh ingredients directly imported from Bangkok to retain the dishes’ most authentic flavors.

At Greyhound Café Popcorn, guests can not only try our signature dishes such as Greyhound’s Famous Fried Chicken Wings, Salmon Carpaccio in Spicy Hot Sauce and Complicated Noodles, but also some new dishes served exclusively at the new branch, including If you are a fun seeker, we strongly recommend you to try the DIY waffles, which you can enjoy waffles in three different flavors and decorate your dessert with the condiments to your liking.

"As someone has pointed out, the food is a hit or miss. You'd have much higher expectations when the price tag is so big for such peasant food. The servers and the chefs didn't look like they had a clue with what to do. Interesting enough, we saw a few staffs in the kitchen giving each other massages. While it is ok to do so when it's down time, you should do it discreetly. That was just simply unprofessional. The waiters kept circling back and forth but would pretend not to see you when you wanted to flag one down. While the pad Thai was ok, the so called 'red velvet' waffle was a huge mess. We wouldn't accept it the first time it came out, it looked burnt and dropped on the floor and utterly unappetizing. The second time it came, I could only take one bite because it's equally unappetizing and ultimately failed to impress. The waiting time was over 25 minutes for one piece of disgusting trash. The bottom line is, when you charge an outrageous price in such a prime location, your customers would expect you to have at least pristine ceramics, not chipped ones. That's the most basic rule in higher end food and drinks industry. This one certainly pretends to be at the higher end, but fails miserably."

"The experience was far below from the expected, regardless the pleasant atmosphere. The biggest concerns are 1) the venue has no bathrooms, so even if you need to wash hands you have to go 200 feet to the bathroom facility somewhere in the middle of the shopping centre 2) food was served a bit cold and not in the quality you would expect for such prime location (however still decent food). For example, the sliced steak with cucumber was sourced as cold steak"
