"Beautiful ambiance all around. You could have mistaken the Murray is in Manhattan somewhere. Don’t bother with the food items on the menu. Tried the teriyaki chicken, Murray burger and the Curry. For the price we expect a lot more quality. $400/head should buy you more."

"Quality of the food for afternoon tea is average, not quite up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. The venue's acoustic installation is poor. Six people making a great deal of noise on one side of the room was found very annoying even on the other end of the room. Service is only fair. Last but not the least, my lemon grass n ginger is only average. In one word, not getting the money's worth."

"Had lunch at Garden Lounge, The Murray; Hong Kong island's newest five star hotel. The ginger and carrot soup went down very well as did the fish. The lamb curry is worth ordering for the impressive presentation alone. Nice, open layout and a few tables outside, staff were professional and courteous without being over the top. A Western and Asian menu with prices ranging from HK$150 for the soup of the day to HK$350 plus for a mains and a 10 percent service charge on top. Air conditioning was fierce."

"For HKD300pax it’s not a bad deal.. but the flavours weren’t as good as expected. The sandwiches and crepe were bland, the cookie had no taste, I could keep going on. But for this price, I suppose I’m just paying for the environment. Still the service was nice, just that they have a time limit and wouldn’t let you sit and chat for long ... then why bother going for high tea? Unfortunately I won’t come back for sure :("
