Lan Kwai Fong Presents Second Year of Savouring Art and Exhibitions

In the Month of Art – March 2017

(Hong Kong, 16th February, 2017) Lan Kwai Fong continuously strives to bring the best-in-class cuisine experience and is exclusively presenting the Savouring Art campaign this March, specially infusing art elements into each savoury delights. 12 participating restaurants in Lan Kwai Fong and California Tower have each created its own artistic dishes and cocktails, bringing an extraordinary and exquisite taste journey to each customer.

Theme of Colour of Ingredients

“Colour of Ingredients” is the theme of this campaign. Each restaurant will incorporate artistic concept into the dishes, and to create distinctive dishes and beverages with different colour combinations. This collection of restaurants is providing a wide variation of global cuisines, from Japanese and Cantonese to Spanish, Italian, and Korean, participating restaurants including Cassio, CÉ LA VI, Dragon-i, Fish & Meat, Jinjuu, Kyoto Joe, Mercato, Mercedes Me, Porterhouse by Laris, Tycoon Tann, Westwood Carvery, and Yuet Kwai Restaurant by Fovea. Some famous art pieces will be displayed at 5 of the participating restaurants to welcome consumers to a unique world of fine art in Lan Kwai Fong.

Distinctive Art dishes

The art dishes of Yuet Kwai Restaurant by Fovea are inspired by the colours of spring, children and travel, without any use of artificial colours. ‘All dishes have to be healthy and tasty at the same time, and everything on the plate is edible, including the flowers,’ said

Chef Chau Ho Wan, Executive Chef of Yuet Kwai Restaurant by Fovea.

“The art dishes we created show our love, knowledge and respect for food, through the use of contrasting colours and matching flavours,” said Fernando Gojan, Executive Chef of Mercedes Me. Scallops, iberico ham, squid ink, beetroot are flavors that match well with each other, so Chef Gojan put them together in one dish while, presenting it in a colourful yet balanced presentation.

Art and Culture

To feed hungry minds of art lovers, Lan Kwai Fong also presents the exhibition by esteemed HK contemporary artist Wing Shya and APPortfolio ‘PLAY’ exhibition. The Savouring Art campaign also collaborates with famous local artist Jessie Siu (www.mbart.co)to host art workshops to heighten Lan Kwai Fong’s atmosphere with artistic touch.

Unique Dining Experiences

Lan Kwai Fong has partnered with FeedMe Guru, Hong Kong’s first tasting menu platform, to curate these dining experiences at the 12 participating restaurants. They will be exclusively available for booking on FeedMe Guru’s web and mobile app platforms (www.feedmeguru.com). Guests who book on FeedMe Guru’s platform will also receive an Uber promo code to ride in style to the Savouring Art restaurants.

From 1st March to 31th March, patrons who upload photos of the dishes to Instagram with hashtags #(restaurant name) #LKFSavouringArt will have the chance to win an 9.7 inch iPad Pro with Apple Pencil (valued at $7,176 in total)!
