Sake Masterclass and Kaiseki Dinner


FUMI is excited to announce a unique dinner in partnership with the 6th generation sake-maker Daimon Yasutaka and his premium award-winning line-up of Japanese sakes.

On September 1st, Daimon-san himself will be in Fumi Hong Kong to introduce Daimon Brewery and its 200 years of brewing history, showcase his latest line of sakes, and conduct a masterclass about sake tasting.  Crafted from fresh mountain spring water with the finest regional rice, the sakes from Daimon Brewery at the foot of the Ikoma mountain range are known throughout Japan for their high caliber and excellent flavour profiles.  3 of the sakes have recently won Gold and Silver medals at the 2018 London Sake Challenge (the largest and one of the most prestigious sake competitions in the World).

At this special event, guests will also experience a full 8-course kaiseki dinner specially prepared by FUMI’s Executive Chef Imai Masakazu.  A perfect marriage of food and sake.

FUMI is a Japanese restaurant and bar serving delectable dishes in an elegant space filled with Japanese-inspired art, furniture and tableware. On top of serving omakase, kaiseki menus, à la carte dishes and set lunches, FUMI also offers an extensive range of sakes and a selection of Japanese wines. FUMI is committed to promoting Japanese heritage by presenting special cultural menus which coincide with Japanese festivals and hosting traditional dance performances, calligraphy demonstrations and talks about the food culture in Japan.
